# Automation

## Overview

Liquidity Providers (LPs) often have to perform continuous manual operations to optimize profits, protect assets, and control risks associated with providing liquidity. Executing tasks like claiming rewards, reinvesting, rebalancing, or exiting a pool manually is time-consuming and risks missing critical opportunities.\
The Automation features—**Auto Compound**, **Auto Claim**, **Auto Rebalance,** and **Auto Exit**—are designed to help LP Pro users:

* Save time.
* Optimize profits.
* Proactively control risk.

## How to Set Up Automation

Currently, there are **2 ways** to set up automation:

**From the Open Positions page**

* Go to **LP Pro**, open the **Open Positions** tab.
* In the **Automation** column, click **Setup** for the position you want.
* Select the automation type and configure your triggers.

* Go to the **Automation** section.
* Select the automation type (Compound, Claim, Rebalance, or Exit) and define your conditions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.7k.ag/7k-lp-pro/automation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
